The Houston Rockets have been quiet during this offseason, aside from not making it to the playoff last season they are signing Dillon brooks. Dillon Brooks became part of a five man trade. Before acquiring Dillon Brooks, the Houston Rockets signed rookie Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore. The Houston Rockets plan on getting James Harden back.
There are a few selective players that the Houston Rockets are looking at for this upcoming season. One of the recent players they are looking at is Kyrie Irving but there are other teams looking at him as well. The Houston Rocket wont have any problems signing Kyrie Irving. Kyrie is a good influence for younger players or players who just entered the NBA. But that won’t be enough to get him to the rocket. Despite missing the playoffs last season, he still wants to play with Luka Doncic.
Aside from the guard Kyrie Irving, Houston Rockets also have their eyes set on one of the Lakers players Austin Reeves. He got a lot of attention from different teams and the crown for the way he played in the playoffs last year. The Lakers don’t mind matching offers. Acquiring Austin Reeves would be somewhat of a good pick for their team because they need a guard that continuously makes plays to score.
Beside the point, if the Houston Rockets are able to get Reeves and Irving on their roster they need to do some pay arrangements. Which takes The Rocket back to James Harden who is a former player on The Rocket and is still very good at 34 but not the same as his prime self.
If The Rockets are able to make these changes, they might become one of the top 5 teams in western conference. But there are other teams in the same conference that will be more competitive. The Houston Rocket future is going to be bright if they make these additions.
